In the area of concessions, the OPWAY is an indirect  shareholder of Ascendi, a company that was set up in 2008, by Mota Engil e Es Concessões.

Its Strategic Plan includes the consolidation of its market presence in the road sector in Portugal; as well as geographic and sectorial diversification, particularly in the rail and airport sector.
