OPWAY Indústria’s main business sectors are marble and prefabricated elements. In relation to marble, Marmetal and Margrimar are two companies based in Borba, in the district of Évora, which extract and process marble. Marmetal – Mármores e Materiais de Construção S.A. is located above the largest reserve of the world renowned “Rosa de Portugal” in Portugal, and it is a segment leader with a market share of about 80%.
Margrimar utilises and processes the raw material that cannot be produced in blocks and also operates in the finished works, made-to-measure and decorative pieces segment, made from any kind of ornamental rock.
In the prefabricated segment OPWAY Indústria has PAVICENTRO, a company that specialises in developing integrated prefabricated solutions in concrete and GFRC (glass fibre reinforced concrete) for civil engineering and public works, environmental, energy and telecommunications projects. PAVICENTRO also owns PAVILIS, PAVISEU and PONTAVE, which operate in Portugal, and PAVITEL (Morocco) and PAVI DO BRASIL (Brazil) in the international market.
The Group created OPWAY Novas Tecnologias in order to interact with the industrial sector. It develops prefabricated solutions for houses, hotels and hospitals. Constructive processes are implemented in the Engineering and Manufacturing Centre in Benavente by a team of highly specialised technicians who use the most advanced technology for the purpose.
